Bespoke Wellness Services:
For many of us, attending regular classes and going for one-to-one treatments are core components of our self-care. For some people, going to dedicated studio spaces or treatment rooms isn’t an option. I come from a community development background and believe everyone should have access to the greatest wellbeing available to them. I enjoy immensely working with people also in their spaces. Be that in Schools and Educational settings, in daycare or Residential settings, or in people’s homes. All my group class offerings and one-to-one therapies can be tailored to different settings, needs and goals and seek to both support and empower those I work with.
Supporting Implementation of School Wellbeing Policies
Whether the causes of stress and anxiety are school related or otherwise, the symptoms can affect students’ school experience and performance.
It is the cumulative effect of persistent heightened stress levels that turn a normal emotional response into a pattern with negative effects on quality of life and learning. If not addressed, over time the symptoms can affect young peoples’ school experience and outcomes.
On the other hand, learning to identify and manage symptoms of stress at this age can equip young people not only to cope better with the demands of their school years, but also with the self-awareness and skills to better manage the challenges of third level education, as well as work and life stress when they leave school.
Regular practice shifting to the Parasympathetic Nervous System (Relaxation Response) is essential to inhibit the accumulation of stress and anxiety in the body.

Supporting Wellbeing Matters in Care Settings
Whether living at home with support, or in care homes, older people are as much at risk of stress, anxiety and depression as other groups in society. Particular chronic issues can also affect older people in care settings, such as loneliness, insufficient social interaction and mental and physical stimulation. Big changes, such as loss of friends or loved ones, falls, time spent in hospital, or moving to a care setting, can all result in emotional distress. Identifying ways to support and enrich the daily lives of loved ones and residents under their care can be an ongoing challenge for families and care institutions.
Complementary approaches can be incredibly powerful ways to support the wellbeing of older people and can be tailored to individual settings and needs with ease.
Older people are not the only ones in our community who may be unable to access external services and supports. People living with chronic health or physical disability issues at any age may need services to be available to them in their home homes, or in the care or community settings that they access regularly. All offerings can be complementary to medical treatments.

Movement Classes
Keeping active physically and stimulated mentally are among the most prominent recommendations for maintaining our physical and mental health, as well as healthy and happy ageing! Mindful movement practices are recognised as having positive benefits for confidence and comfort of movement, fall prevention, joint and bone health, as well as reduced stress and improved mood.
Classes can be run in all kinds of settings and tailored to meet the needs and goals of any group. Practices can be shorter, longer, seated or standing, or a combination of both. I draw from all my movement and therapeutic self-care techniques, Qigong, Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, as appropriate, in my classes. My aim is to offer participants an enjoyable session as well as empower them with skills and techniques they can use themselves if they like and this is open to them.
